It is days like this that I love living in california. While the rest of the united states is covered in snow and rain and ice, we had a lovely day in the sun :)

Jeremy decided it was a good day to wash his car, Sam tried to help.

2011 Style Inspiration....

I have been coveting all things 70's lately. I love everything about it, here are some pictures I found to guide the small amount of shopping I do...

When the simple life started 7 or so years ago, I never in a million years would have thought that I would be turning to Nicole Richie for style tips. Needless to to say, I think she has some of the best personal style in all of hollywood. Love the hat, love the vest, love the sheer shirt, love everything about it :)

It's a new dawn, it's a new day.....

Happy 2011 everyone! I can't believe another year has come and gone. 2010 definitely had its ups, but also had way too many downs. I am hoping that 2011 is the year of positiveness, starting with a few easy new years resolutions:

1. Drink more water and less wine and coffee.
2. Finish all unfinished projects.
3. When starting a new project, finish it before starting another!!!
4. Get out in nature more often.
5. Plan a few more get-aways.
6. De-clutter my life, starting with our apartment.
7. Stay committed to my online classes and finish with at least a B.
8. Post new blogs on a regular basis :)

Seems easy enough, right? Only time will tell........

If you haven't already done it, please listen to Karen Elson's album. Yes this is the same Karen Elson who is a model and married to Jack White. Her music has the coolest vaudevillian circus spooky vibe. I love it, very inspiring. It basically makes me want to lay around with a guitar wearing tons of pale pink silk charmeuse, feather headdresses, pearls, and lace. Love It!!

Capellini with Tomatoes and Basil

I saw this recipe on the atlantishome blog and decided to try it.

It was really easy to make not to mention delicous!

I love the bright red of the tomatoes.

We have a lot of fresh basil here.

As well as a lot of fresh parmesan :)

Served with white wine and a salad with beets.

If Jeremy is eating it, then it must be good!

And Sammy could care less :)
