Happy New Year :)

This was the first time in years that Jeremy and I went out for New Years Eve.  My sisters drove up from LA and we all went to see reggae legend Derrick Harriet at the rocket room in SF. It was fun, but I was ready to be in bed by 11:30 :)

This year there are a few things I hope to improve upon, several are repeats from last years new years eve post. Here the are, lets see how many appear again next year.....

• Pay off some of my debt, save some money.
• Eat better, drink less alcohol and soda.
• Make my household more "green".
• Finish all unfinished projects before starting new ones.
• De-clutter my life!
• Become less of a "consumer".
• and of course, exercise more!!

mantel

I would give anything to have a fireplace. Until then, I have my "faux" mantel that I am kinda loving right now. I had to rearrange some things because the new additions have decided that they like to destroy my beloved plants. Several broken pots and ruined succulents later, all my plants are out of kitten reach and I couldn't be happier :)

New Additions

So, the only problem with working at an animal hospital is that every know and then there are pets that need a home. Enter these two little ones. They had been living at the hospital hoping to find a home for about a month with no luck. I decided to introduce them to Sam one day at lunch and it was instant chemistry. I was sold, and once Jeremy met them it a done deal. So, Johnny (black and white) and June (mostly black) are now Zieglers. They are little shits, but we love them :)

A perfect california sunday in late january...

It is days like this that I love living in california. While the rest of the united states is covered in snow and rain and ice, we had a lovely day in the sun :)
