Gypsy caravan...

I love these pictures of gypsy wagons, how cool would it be to live in one for a while.

This last one is a "just because" pic. I included just because I liked it! One of my favorite past times is snuggling with my pets. This is the ultimate snuggle!!

craft time

Here are a few things I have put on my ever growing to-do list....

One thing that I would love to make but am scared to tackle is a quilt, I thought this one above would be an easy way to ease into the world of quilting.

Now that fall is upon us, I dream of snuggling up with a good book and a cup of tea in this cozy big knit blanket. I love the color too.

I love how a little knitting can turn a boring old wall clock into something interesting and colorful.

This home-made driftwood wreath is a good reason to plan a trip to the beach. Where else would I find the materials??

I am not artistic, but I think I could manage something like this.

Now I just have to find the time......

current obsessions....

Young Stevie Nicks:
Love everything about her. Her style, her music; That hair, Those boots!

Peacock chairs, I need one in my life!!

I found this amazing picture at a thrift store a few weeks ago and hung it above my bed,
I am now trying to re-decorate my room around this painting.

Wouldn't this be the perfect headboard/bedspread to go with the painting!!??

I also love this but I can just see my cats climbing up the fabric :)

I taught myself how to make a "gods eye" like the one below, they will be hanging in my perfect bedroom soon.

Bend, Oregon

My brother-in-law graduated from high school last week, so we packed up the family and headed up to oregon again!

Sam is the best traveler.

It was a long drive, but it was a beautiful one.

We stopped at the Grass Lake rest stop, and I have to say that this is the most amazing rest stop ever!  We dubbed the pet area the "Pet Ranch". Best pet area ever.

Grass lake, so pretty.

I thought these old phone booths were cool. Nice to know they still exist.

We also stopped at Collier Memorial State Park.

My family would stop here every time we made the trip to Prineville Or to visit my grandparents.
This river has the coldest water ever! My sisters and I would always have a contest to see who could keep their feet in it the longest.

 Here is Jacob the Graduate.

2012 graduating class.

 Proud big brother :)

 Congrats Jacob! We love you!

Sam has a new lady friend, Charlie.

And you know I indulged in my favorite Oregon past time - Thrifting!!!
Here are a few of my treasures...

 The sky was unbelievable.

Till next time Oregon!!

Happy Birthday Golden Gate Bridge!

The golden gate bridge recently turned 75 years old. There was a big party in San Francisco to celebrate. My dad had the great idea of riding bikes across the bridge. I never in a million years would have thought of or wanted to do this. But I did. For my dad.

We started at pier 39. This is me in wearing the helmut that I swore up and down to Jeremy that I would not be caught dead in.

Mom and Dad.

We rode along the water and I saw parts of SF that I have never seen before.

Fort Mason

I can see the bridge, GG here we come!

Alcatraz Island.

Downtown SF in the distance.

Uh Oh, we seem to be getting closer to the bridge.....

Closer...

 Me and that damn helmut.

We made it on the bridge!! Thankfully they have one side of the bridge that is strictly for bikes.

A new form of advertising, just hire 5 planes to write it in the sky! No big deal.

Mom and Dad keeping up. It didn't help that we were riding against the wind.

Looks like we made it to the other side! Yay for us!

I am really glad that I "went along for the ride" on this one. I am pretty proud of myself for doing so well. I also enjoyed the quality time with my parents. Made me feel like a kid again.

Thanks for the idea Dad. You can cross this one off your bucket list!!
